The clips when placed properly hold the Trex material just fine but the poor metal quality of the screws makes them just about useless. They strip out if you breath on them wrong. The seller should supply Torx head screws to eliminate the problem. As it is that's what I am using.Just what you need to tie down the edges of your Trex decking.Start and stop clips work well. Easy to work with. Stainless steel makes them weather resistant. It's only a 4 star because I am gonna see how they hold up over time. So far so good.Won't find out about quality until this weekend when we build the decks to our new house. Came quickly though!!It's good price compare to Trex starter clip. However, the screw are very bad. If you make a mistake and want to unscrew, the screw will be broken. I tried 5 of them and they all have the same issue. So, I stoped using the screws come with, and bought 1 and half inch deck screw from Home Depot to use with these clips. I would give it 2 and half stars instead of 3.clips hold board if a grove is cut to receive. the screws are a bit soft. best attach clip with deck screws.Nice product, good fit for a Trex application.Junk.
